Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how seána (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on seana.ie. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to provide information to site owners about how their site is used.

How we use cookies

The landing page uses only a preference cookie after you save your choice:

Cookies we set

NameTypePurposeDuration
seana_cookie_consent Essential Remembers your essential-only preference. It is not consent to future tracking. 180 days

Sign-in and checkout

When you open owner sign-in, Clerk uses storage needed to authenticate and protect your session. When you choose to pay, Stripe uses technologies needed for payment and fraud prevention. The shared-session checkout keeps a booking reference and retry identifier in session storage to recover interrupted payments; it does not store card details there. These features load when you request them.

Your choices and consent

The first-visit notice explains our essential-only use. You can save that preference or continue browsing without choosing. No optional tracking runs either way. Use Cookie preferences in the homepage footer to reopen the notice.

You can change your mind at any time:

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works. For more information, see your browser’s help pages.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
